Change is part of moving forward and we celebrate every opportunity. Consistency in being faithful and committed to God’s mandate in obedience every step of the way is of utmost importance. It drives us to edge of ultimate trust in God and challenges complacency and comfort. It is war and we will not stand back. The fight is on and we will stand our ground and advance the Kingdom of God. Every single person is called to Godly purpose and needs to journey in deliberate intentionality to grow to maturity in Christ. The process is dying to SELF so that Jesus can live through us.
“The life that Jesus lived qualified Him for the death that He died - and the death that He died qualifies us for the life we now live.... So Die...Die ...Die so that Jesus can live through you” Life is complex, but the life we can live in Christ is a simple process of submitting my will to His will.
The more I grow in that consistency, the more mature I am in Christ. In our church family and the greater Every Nation church family we follow the the four “E” principles. It is so fundamental, it’s profound.
The first “E” is Engage. Godly love must be the driving force in us to see people saved, whole and restored in relationship to Christ. There are people around you, you need to engage in love!
The second “E” is Establish. After our engagement we need to establish people in Biblical truth. We use Biblical foundations (Purple Book tool) to help people find this truth. Be rooted in truth, the absolute truth of the Word of God!
The third “E” is Equip. Ephesians 4 speaks of “equipping the saints to go and do the good work”. This is like training with wooden swords preparing for the day when you will be called to battle. When you’ve trained well, you will be able to wield the the real Sword with accuracy and precision and do great exploits for our King.
The fourth and final “E” is Empower. Empowered to take the nations for the King. God has called you and purposed you. Your gifting and all the resources you need are linked to that call, your purpose. Be Empowered by His Grace and obey the King’s call.
If you look at yourself now, what do you see? Are you a mature christian ready to be empowered into the army of God or do you still need more equipping and training and growth. Some might need a hospital and are in need of wholeness and restoration. But this is certain! We all need family where we can experience relationship with God and God’s people....we need Church! Let us work towards unity! Unity through maturity in Christ (see scripture below)
“This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.”
